Lambeth is a diverse borough with several different neighbourhoods and town centres. Within the borough, there are dozens of environmental action groups furthering the work done by Lambeth Council.
On this page are further details of these groups as well as recent news from Lambeth Council.
LAMBETH LOCAL ACTION GROUPS
Stockwell Partnership a charity run by local people for local people. They aim to improve the quality of life in the local neighbourhood by undertaking projects, building partnerships, and supporting residents to take action on issues they care about.
Refill, an award-winning campaign designed to help you reduce your plastic pollution, by making it easy to refill your reusable water bottle instead of buying a plastic one.
Lambeth Cyclists is the Lambeth branch of the London Cycling Campaign (LCC). We have three principal aims: to encourage people to cycle, to improve conditions for cyclists and to raise the profile of cycling.
UK STUDENT CLIMATE NETWORK
UKSCN is a group of mostly under 18s taking to the streets to protest the government’s lack of action on the Climate Crisis. We are mobilising unprecedented numbers of students to create a strong movement and send a message that we are tired of being ignored.
MUMS FOR LUNGS
Air pollution is a public health crisis and our elected representatives are not doing enough to tackle it. We are campaigning for clean air for everyone — particularly children and babies. And we want this to happen as soon as possible.
FUEL POVERTY ACTION
Fuel Poverty Action campaigns to protect people from fuel poverty. We challenge rip-off energy companies and unfair policies that leave people to endure cold homes. We take action for warm, well-insulated homes and clean and affordable energy, under the control of people and communities, not private companies.
Lambeth Community Solar is Repowering London’s new campaign working with Lambeth Council to develop and manage a new community-owned solar energy project to install on schools and community buildings in the borough.
